Monte Porzio Catone

Yesterday we decided to visit the Orchid Festival (Orchidee in centro) in Monte Porzio Catone and what a terrific decision this was! It was the last day of the festival and this little town, perching on top of a hill, was swamped with visitors from near and far.

Here are a few of my favourite photos as I was trying to stay clear of the crowds and roam the quieter streets.

Ah, yes, and the flowers… Well, I didn’t go to the actual orchid exhibitions because of the crowds and the queues, but the streets were full of flowers, both big and small.

We ended our little weekend excursion with some Italian gelato and concluded that it had been a great day. Our visiting relatives spent the day in Rome and reported feeling the same way. Somehow I feel tired just thinking about walking up and down the streets of Rome, whereas this little town was just perfect in size for me. :)

  2. By the way….Jag vill ha foton på Rocky och Rockys storebror / manager.

  4. I really enjoy reading your blog, Minna. The pictures are amazing, it looks simply beautiful there. And Italian gelato sounds perfect – I haven’t had it in ages. Hazelnut is my favourite. I’m glad everyone is feeling better!

  5. Ihanan näköistä vaikka jalkoja särkee pelkästään kun katselee kuvia.

    Nauttikaa!!
